A chance to win an exclusive prize!

Take photos of the Christmas balls that you knit from our 2020 Advent Calendar, post them on Instagram and hashtag them with #arnecarlos and #sitandknitforabit. By doing that, you will be eligible to win a fabulous prize consisting of an exclusive ARNE & CARLOS project bag, one of our books personally dedicated and signed by us as well as a bunch of Prym Ergonomic Needles and hooks! We will select 2 lucky winners and announce them in early January. Good Luck!

Contest Information:

1. Tag your images on Instagram with #sitandknitforabit and #arnecarlos, and we will select two winners. Both tags must be used per image to enter the competition.

2. Only images of the Christmas Balls from the 2020 Advent Calendar will be considered. Images of other Christmas Ball designs, including balls from our book “55 Christmas Balls to Knit”, the mini-balls from our webshop or self-designed balls will not be considered.

3. As long as you are knitting the balls from the 2020 Advent Calendar, you may use any other colours than the ones we have used. Just be as creative as you like in your colour choices!

4. The photos must be posted and tagged on December 1st and until December 31st, 2020. Images posted before or after these dates will not be accepted.

5. The more images you post and tag during the above-mentioned dates, the more entries you have, the better the chances are to win!

6. The winners will not be selected randomly. Instead, we will select our two favourite photos based on the quality of the image and the creativity of the setting and staging.

7. We will ship the prize anywhere in the world, so everyone is eligible to enter this contest.

8. The two lucky winners will be announced at the beginning of January 2021. The prizes will ship sometime in the middle or end of January 2021.

    Dear Arne & Carlos,
I am so totally loving your posts. I am English with French nationality living in the south of France. My dearest best friend Vivica, who I met aged 6, had a Swedish mother and a Danish father. She introduced me to your Christmas traditions years ago. Sadly she died aged 54, and left a huge hole in my life…but your post has made me realise that she is still with me. I learned to make heart baskets from paper, my tree is covered in straw decorations and cross-stitched Swedish decorations made by me. I even make Pepparkakor each year and have a smaller version of your Jul bok. My husband and I have our Christmas meal and open all our presents on Christmas Eve. I have a Scandinavian Christmas!!! Am loving your Advent calendar. It warms my heart.
    With much love, Sarah xxx

This is my first Christmas without my parents and your daily calendar gives me something to look forward to each day. Through your stories I am connecting my Christmas traditions (celebrate and open presents on Christmas eve) to my Norwegian grandmother. You are both bringing a lot of joy and warmth to my heart and life and I am truly grateful. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s reveal.

    Dear Arne & Carlos,

Thank you for your advent stories and the calendar! I am German but live in the States. My tree has German decorations and it is full of straw ornaments (stars mostly) that have been handmade in Nuremberg (it’s a pretty famous Christmas town in Germany). I do wonder if this is a Swedish/ Nordic influence or a German thing, as well.

If you haven’t been to one of the German Christmas markets, I hope you will get to enjoy them (post COVID) one day.

    Cheers from Oklahoma,
    Silke

    Dear Arne & Carlos!

I love your videos! You are such a bright part of my day! I’m loving the Christmas Balls! You have encouraged me to give them a try.
Since my hand is in a cast, I opted for the mini ball series (though I purchased the regular sized pattern too) only to discover they mini series wasn’t eligible for the drawings. (sad face) LOL, knitting a few minutes at a time is a great way to get the job done!
    Love from Los Angeles!

    Happy Holidays Arne and Carlos!
Thank you for your cheerful, festive videos. I love your sense of humor and the wonderful rapport between the two of you. You always bring a smile to my face and you’re good company for me as I knit. I feel less lonely when I’m tuned in to your episodes on YouTube. It’s challenging not seeing family or friends for months. I’ve caught my husband watching you when he’s working on his laptop and he’s commented on how much he also enjoys you both! Your home is charming and I love your stories. I especially loved watching you making gingerbread, Arne and also watching Carlos using a drill and hammer on the Christmas star!🤣 God bless you both with good health and continued happiness and much joy in the new year. Keep those videos coming!!!! 😘❤️❤️❤️🤗
