LOFOTEN is our new collection of Regia sock yarn which consists of eight new colourways and is inspired by last summer’s road trip when we stayed in one of the most beautiful places in Norway. The yarns are available in 8 colourways worldwide.

I have had the same experience as Helle Thorsdam in terms of the very pale colors. It was the children’s series, color 02986, ‘Ida’.
It’s a shame, both for you and Schachenmayr, because if you find that the colors do not meet your expectations, perhaps you might hesitate to order from Regia / Schachenmayr again?
I have a skein Pairfect, Nordland, color 06823, waiting, the colors look right.

We are a yarn shop in Canada that carries all ARNE & CARLOS yarns and books, and our Lofoten sock is not expected to arrive until mid-June. Remember that German-made yarn is available in Germany immediately, but then needs to be shipped to the U.S. wholesale distributor, pass through customs, and then shipped from them to local yarn stores in the U.S. and Canada, often by slower methods to keep the shipping cost down. Thank you for your patience and we will all get our hands on this beautiful yarn eventually!

I have tried also to purchase the Lofeton collection but not yet available. I could see that the Regia collection with Carlos and Arnis pics on the front of the old collection and remember you saying to look for your pics to get the real thing however l wonder too whether the lady had purchased the old collection because like she says it doesn’t look as vibrant? So much that l was going to e mail you about it but your follower bet me to it!
Hope she gets it sorted as I too would be very disappointed. Indeed I can’t wait to purchase all the colours although never knitted socks before so l think my expectations might be a little unrealistic but intend buying all the colours anyway because l like the wool and will buy enough to knit the dolls too with the help of you two guys? 😊

That is where I got mine! It’s actually a craft shop in the Midwest that is selling via the Amazon site. My yarn arrived super fast!

Those in the US looking for this Lofoten yarn, the only place I’ve seen it so far is… {drumroll} …… Amazon. (I was surprised!) Maybe that will change as distribution rolls out?

Hello again. We are sorry for your disappointment, and we truly understand your frustration. Still, as we already explained in our email to you sent a few days ago, we do not have the power to stop Schcahnemayr/Regia from doing anything as we do not work for them and have no control over their decision-making process. We only design yarns for them on a freelance basis. The Schachenmayr customer service is dealing with your case. As we have understood it, both from the email you wrote to us and during our communication with them, Schachenmayr offered to send you new Lofoten yarn from a different batch as a replacement, which you have declined. So Schachenmayr compensated you by sending you some other yarns from their assortment, which you confirmed you have received. We cannot do much for you other than ask you to contact their customer service again. We will also make sure to send them a screenshot of your comment and ask them if there is a thing else they can do for you. Again, we are sorry about your issue.

I have purchased 6 of the Lofoten colors at Sockenwolleparadies in Germany and the way the yarn looks when knitted up doesn’t have the vibrant and bright colors that is shows in these pictures. I’m so disappointed. I have been corresponding with Schachenmayr, but they say that the divination is still in tolerance for their quality. I hope you can stop the firm sending any more of this mis coloured yarn to any more customers. Thanks in advance
