Let’s Talk about our latest Collection for Rowan: New Nordic Men’s!

Hello from Fanø, Denmark!

We have been spending a few days in this beautiful little Danish island with a big knitting festival and it has been delightful! Unfortunately, we have been too busy to take many photos, but you can read more about the festival by clicking here.

This week on our YouTube Channel, we do a run through of our latest collection for Rowan, which we are calling New Nordic Men’s, but which could also be unisex, as we know a lot of women would love to wear these styles too!

We love to talk about the design process, so it’s always fun to introduce our designs to you and explain a little bit more about what is hiding behind each and every pattern. This Rowan collection is particularly close to our heart, as we are very pleased with how it turned out. That being said, it is always such a relief when we finish a project and can let it go – to live its own life!

Is there a pattern for a Nordic style jumper with out the color work? I want the shape but in a plain solid!thanks ever so much.

A Nordic style jumper is defined by its colour work. Without the colour work it’s no
longer a Nordic style Jumper and you could basically get any plain pattern.

I love your new Nordic Men’s sweaters. I purchased the Vegard pattern and yarn and I am excited to start knitting! My question is about the layered knitting section. How do I add and move the Kid silk Haze? It isn’t exactly Intarsia so I don’t know how you did it. The sweater is WONDERFUL!
