GLOVES
In this week’s tutorial, we show you how to knit mittens using the yarn we’ve designed for Schachenmayr. See the tutorial here:

Yarn: Merino Extrafine 120, DK weight 120 m / 131 yds. Colours designed by ARNE & CARLOS. We’ve designed this yarn in 5 different colours: Douvre, Lesja, Gausdal, Lom and Ringebu. Get the yarn here: https://arnecarlos.com/yarn
Yarn amount: 2 balls of 50 gram balls, total 100 grams.
Needles: U.S. size 2 – 3 / 3 and 3,5 mm set of dpn.
Gauge: 10cm = 27 sts
Instructions:
CO 48 sts on 2 / 3mm, divide st son 4dpn = 12 sts on each needle.
Join, being careful not to twist cast-on rpw.
Work around in k2, p2 rib for 8cm.
Change to larger dpn.
Right hand.
Rnd 1-4:K48.
Rnd 5:K1, M1, k3, M1, k44.
Rnd 6-9:K50.
Rnd 10:K1, M1, k5, M1, k44.
Rnd 11-14:K52.
Rnd 15:K1, M1, k7, M1, k44.
Rnd 16-19:K54.
Rnd 20:work on needle 1: place 1sts on the needle and knit 9sts with scrap yarn for the tumb and place the next 8sts on to the needle without knitting them. Now you can go back to the beginning of rnd and continue with the main yarn and then K54 for 20 rnds.
Check on the hand for sizing, if you need more or fewer rnds.
Left hand.
Rnd 1-4:K48.
Rnd 5:K44, M1. K3, M1, k1.
Rnd 6-9:K50.
Rnd 10:K44, M1. K5, M1, k1.
Rnd 11-14:K52.
Rnd 15:K44, M1. K7, M1, k1.
Rnd 16-19:K54.
Rnd 20:K44, k9 sts with scrap yarn, put these 9 sts back on the needle and knit over the scrap yarn with the main yarn and end rnd with k1. Continue with K54 for 20 rnds.
Check on the hand if you need more or fewer rnds.
Forefinger.
Place the first 8 sts on to a dpn, and put the next 38 sts on hold and place the last 8 sts on to a dpn. Divide sts like this:
1st dpn: 5sts.
2nd dpn: 3 sts.
3rd dpn: 3 sts.
4th dpn: 5 sts.
Knit around:
Rnd 1:K8, M4 on second dpn, k8.
Rnd 2:K20.
Rnd 3:dpn 1: K5, dpn 2: K5, dpn 3: place the 2 last sts on dpn 2 on dpn 3 and K5, dpn 4: K5.
K20 around for 20 rndsand check the rnd`s on your forefinger.
Rnd 24:( Sl1, k1, psso, k5, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 25:K16.
Rnd 26:( Sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 27:K12.
Rnd 28:( Sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Cut yarn and pull through rem 8 sts.
Weave in all ends neatly on WS.
Longfinger
1st dpn:Pick up 2sts from the side of forefinger and 3sts from sts`s on hold,
2nd dpn:3sts from sts on hold
3rd dpn: 3sts from sts on hold.
4th dpn:3sts from sts`s on hold and pick up 2sts from the side of forefinger.
Knit around:
Rnd 1: 1dpn:K5. 2dpn:K3, M2. 3dpn:M2, k3. 4dpn:K5.
K20 around for 27 rnd`sand check the rnd`s on your longfinger.
Rnd 29:( Sl1, k1, psso, k5, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 30:K16.
Rnd 31:( Sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 32:K12.
Rnd 33:( Sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Cut yarn and pull through rem 8 sts.
Weave in all ends neatly on WS.
Ringfinger
1st dpn:Pick up 2sts from the side of longfinger and 3sts from sts`s on hold,
2nd dpn:3sts from sts on hold
3rd dpn: 3sts from sts on hold.
4th dpn:3sts from sts`s on hold and pick up 2sts from the side of longfinger.
Knit around:
Rnd 1: 1dpn:K5. 2dpn:K3, M2. 3dpn:M2, k3. 4dpn:K5.
K20 around for 24 rnd`sand check the rnd`s on your ringfinger.
Rnd 26:( Sl1, k1, psso, k5, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 27:K16.
Rnd 28:( Sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 29:K12.
Rnd 30:( Sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Cut yarn and pull through rem 8 sts.
Weave in all ends neatly on WS.
Littlefinger
1st dpn:Pick up 2sts from the side of ringfinger, 2sts from sts`s on hold,
2nd dpn:5 from sts on hold.
3rd dpn: 5 from sts on hold.
4th dpn:2 from sts`s on hold and pick up 2sts from the side of ringfinger.
Knit around:
K18 around for 16 rnd`sand check the rnd`s on your littlefinger.
Rnd 15:K6, k2tog, k1, sl1kw, k1, psso, k7.
Rnd 16:K16.
Rnd 17:( Sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 18:K12.
Rnd 19:( Sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Cut yarn and pull through rem 8 sts.
Weave in all ends neatly on WS.
Thumb.
Pick up 9 sts above the scrap yarn and 9 sts under the scrap yarn.
Taket the scrap yarn out of the stockinett and divide the sts over 4 dpn.
1st dpn:5 sts
2nd dpn:4 sts.
3rd dpn:5 sts.
4th dpn:4 sts.
Rnd 1:K9, M1 in the side of the opening for thumb, k9 and M1 in the other side of opening. Now there is 5 sts on each needle.
Rnd 2-20:K20
Rnd 21:( Sl1, k1, psso, k5, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 22:K16.
Rnd 23:( Sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Rnd 24:K12.
Rnd 25:( Sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, k1 ) around.
Cut yarn and pull through rem 8 sts.
Weave in all ends neatly on WS.
