Pattern for hat with purled XO

Hi everyone!

This week, we show you how to knit a traditional Norwegian style hat with a twist: the second colour is purled, in order to give the hat an interesting structured effect.

You can find the pattern for the hat by clicking here.

We explained in a detailed post on our blog why we have to start charging for new patterns this year. Most people have been very understanding and generous about this and we are very grateful for your continued support! Unfortunately, we have received some messages from angry people who were expecting the pattern for the knitted bag (posted two weeks ago) to be free and who felt we misled them, by sending them to our Ravelry store instead of letting them download it here free of charge. We’d like to apologise for this, but we do hope for some understanding that we can’t keep on giving things for free all the time, as we won’t be able to make a living that way. There are already 100+ patterns for free on this blog! Please keep in mind that by purchasing a pattern, you are contributing to running this channel, as it does take a whole lot of money for our team to produce and post videos of such high quality. If you decide not to purchase the pattern, that’s OK too, we still welcome you to enjoy our tutorials and videos every week, which are free and available for everyone to enjoy!

If you haven’t read our explanation as to why we need to start selling the patterns, you will find it here. Again, we apologise for this inconvenience.

Enjoy the tutorial below!

Sincerely,

ARNE & CARLOS
