Boughton Monchelsea Place, a manor near Maidstone, Kent, UK was a dream come true for us, as we have always wanted to photograph a collection inside an English country house. As garden people, we are also very passionate about greenhouses and the one at Boughton Monchelsea was particularly stunning! The cardigan in the photos is a traditional Norwegian style garment, designed by us for Rowan’s Autumn 2018 collection that we chose to call “New Nordic”. If we were ever going to photograph one garment inside a British greenhouse, it would have to be this one! We think her outfit is very suitable for potting plants or just enjoying some quiet time there, don’t you agree?
This garment is knitted using 4 colours of Rowan’s Felted Tweed. It is a classical, fitted cardigan, with no dropped shoulders and a round neck. What we like most about this design are the colours we used. Felted Tweed is not always the easiest yarn to pair colours, so we did have to work quite a lot to make this happen.
The pattern for this cardigan, named FREYA, is available in NEW NORDIC by ARNE & CARLOS for Rowan or as a digital download which you can find here.
Enjoy these gorgeous photos!
