We are so very excited about the new direction we are taking, as we plunge ourselves into the world of textiles! For the first time ever, we are seeing what other designers can come up with, when they use the fabrics that we have designed and it’s fantastic! These two stunning quilts have been designed by Janet Goddard using our fabrics and we are in love with them both!! Kits for both these quilts are available at The Cotton Patch.
Nik Sewell has also designed two quilts using our fabrics, which we really LOVE and which are also available to order as kits from The Cotton Patch. These are called Nordic Garden Quilts and feature fabric from our collection, mixed with plain fabric in different colours:Our first fabric collection, which is inspired by our garden, was just launched one week ago. You can find the fabrics online for UK and International deliveries through Cotton Patch and Lady Sew and Sew. Both these retailers are already selling the full range of the fabrics and they have also made up some great kits! For German sewers, the fabrics are available here. We will soon announce some North American based retailers, so if you are in Canada or the USA, keep your eyes peeled!

Travel Vlog
We are debuting our very first travel vlog on Sunday July 28th. We filmed the episode while travelling for work in Japan back in February 2019. The main purpose of our visit was to follow up on all the work we have been doing in the Tohoku region since 2012. Perhaps Tohoku doesn’t sound too familiar to you, but if we mention the huge earthquake and tsunami that hit the northeastern coast of Honshu, Japan in 2011, then you will for sure realise that this is the area that was completely devastated by this natural disaster. We got involved with some Japanese organisations the year after the earthquake and since then, we have been supporting the revitalisation of the area, providing knitters and crocheters in the area, who had lost their homes and were in temporary housing for a very long time with free patterns and encouragement. We’ve also visited this beautiful area to do workshops and show our support. Next year, a crafts festival will take part in the area and we have been appointed creative directors and look forward to going back!
Other news this week:
We have just updated our web shop with some patterns that haven’t been available for a while, like the Space Invader Mittens, the Reindeer Mittens and the Selbu Mittens. These are limited editions from our archives and will only be available for a short amount of time.
We have now also made the pattern for our KnitStars mitten available for purchase. You can get the pattern in our web shop.

Gosh ! What an exhausting but exiting schedule you have !!! I surely hope you don’t suffer too much from jet-lag 😉
The quilts 💞 those pics give a fantastic ideas for coordinating the fabrics. I am so in love with the designs and colour ways, could even mismatch those fabrics and end up with something gorgeous. A home styled around the fabrics would be timeless and beautiful.
