To celebrate the launch of Modern Daily Knitting’s Field Guide # 23, featuring yours truly, we are hosting a Knit Along every Wednesday during our Sit and Knit for a Bit podcast starting February 1st.
We are delighted to announce that we will knit the colourful Setesdal Hat from our Field Guide. If any, THIS project is the perfect one to practice your colourwork as there are multiple colour changes throughout. So, join us weekly in February to check our progress, get all our tips and hacks helpful in knitting this hat and be part of this lovely community!
There will be a thread on The Modern Daily Knitting “Lounge” where you can join the community for chats and to exchange experiences.
We are also hosting a competition, as we’d LOVE to see your progress on social media! All you’ll need to do is take photos of your hat WIP and post them on Instagram or Facebook, tag them with #arnecarlos and #moderndailyknitting, and you will be eligible to win the yarn to knit the Valdres Sweater from the same Field Guide plus some beautiful sets of dpns and circulars from Prym!

We have received many questions about yarn availability and the cost of the Field Guide, so here are the answers to the most asked questions:
Yarn availability:
The yarn IS available in all colours as it has been restocked. You can purchase it directly by clicking here. You can also buy a yarn bundle, which includes all five colours, directly from Modern Daily Knitting by clicking here.
The yarn that we will use for the Setesdal Hat is:
Rowan Norwegian Wool. (Click here to order it online):
1 Ball of each of the following five colours:
#018 Ribbon Red, #012 Gold Nugget, #010 Wind Chime, #011 Daphne, #020 Frost Pink.
If #018 Ribbon Red is sold out; you can replace this colour with #023 Red Velvet.
How to purchase the Field Guide:
If you live in North America, you can buy the printed copy shipped to your home and the pdf digital version for immediate download at the Modern Daily Knitting Website. The cost for this is $15.95. There is also a possibility to subscribe to all the Field Guides that will be published in 2023. The price for the subscription is $ 65 and will consist of 4 printed guides and their digital companions.
If you do not live in North America or if you do but do not wish to purchase the printed copy, you can buy the digital version of Field Guide # 23 only for $9.95. You can buy it at the Daily Modern Knitting website or their Ravelry shop starting today.
