The three previous ARNE & CARLOS Christmas Knit-Along stockings. What will this year’s stocking look like?
We are very excited to tell you that this year’s free ARNE & CARLOS Christmas Knit-Along begins on November 6!
For 24 days, we’ll be knitting a Christmas stocking together, revealing just six rows each day. As always, you won’t know exactly what the finished stocking looks like until it gradually appears on your needles.
There is no need to sign up or register, and we won’t be sending daily Knit-Along emails. All you need to do is join us on YouTube, where a new episode will be released every day at:
6:00 pm Central Europe
5:00 pm UK & Ireland
12:00 noon Eastern Time
9:00 am Pacific Time
2:00 am Japan — the following day
4:00 am Sydney/Melbourne — the following day
What you’ll need
We’ll be knitting the stocking in Rowan Norwegian Wool, using five colours.
You will need one 50 g ball of each colour:
Coastal Fjord 013
Vanilla Custard 021
Red Velvet 023
Emerald 017
Golden Nugget 012
So if you haven’t gathered your yarn yet, now is the perfect time to get ready.
And there will be a competition!
Three lucky winners will each receive a complete set of our latest sock yarn collection, The Painted Room.
The collection is made up of richly coloured, multicoloured yarns inspired by the idea of an imaginative, artistic home — rooms filled with colour, pattern, objects, memories and the traces of the people who live there. Each colourway has its own personality, but together they belong to the same slightly eccentric, creative world.
We’ll share all the details about how to enter the competition once the Knit-Along begins.
We are really excited to begin soon. There is something very special about knitting just a few rows each day and watching a completely new Christmas stocking slowly emerge.
