STURLA – Knitted Net Bag.

(1 customer review)

Sturla is a great and very stylish/chic knitted net bag, perfect for grocery shopping or the beach! And, if you are concerned about the environment and the fact that there are too many plastic bags around, just as we are, this is the perfect thing to make and take with you when shopping! Help us save the earth by reducing the consumption of plastic one knitted bag at a time!

The bag is actually knitted and has an effect that makes it look like a net bag – very elastic and great to fill and carry, as it has a sturdy handle.

The total weight of the bag is 176 grams which means you’ll need 3 balls of yarn if you choose to do it in a solid colour. If you choose to do it in 4 different strips as our bag, you will need to get 1 ball of yarn per colour, so total 4 skeins of yarn, and you’ll use about 44 grams per ball.

    Great net bag !
It is fun to make, and you can use leftover cotton yarn, if you want .
A great advantager is that it is lightweight and does’t take much room.
Mine has never left my handbag since I made it, and that is a great advantage, because even if I do unplanned shopping, I never have to buy plastic bags, – the net is always with me 🙂
