Let’s talk about our schedule for 2020!

Hello and Happy New Year!

We hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays! We spent Christmas and New Year relaxing together with our family and friends, something we really needed, after our very hectic 78-day tour in North America last fall. We are actually just popping in here today, to say hello and make an announcement about our schedule for 2020, but will continue with our holidays for a few more weeks, as we usually spend the first few weeks of January at home, doing a lot of skiing and catching up on other things than work.

Let’s talk about our tour schedule: This year, we have decided to release our entire schedule of events already now, mainly because we are actually taking a big break from touring in 2020 and will only do the few events that already have been mentioned here before. You’ll find the full schedule of events for 2020 at the end of this post.

This week, on our channel, we are starting the new year softly, with a great Q&A where we reveal our hidden talents, so don’t miss this!! And on the subject of missing things, mark your calendars now, as we are going LIVE on Saturday January 25th and we are excited to interact with you then!!

You can see this week’s Q&A video here:

A little side note about the this week’s video: Because we left Norway to tour North America on September 24th and didn’t return until December 10th, we have not had the chance to record any videos during fall and winter, except for the podcast that we did on December 10th. The episodes you will be seeing the next few weeks were recorded in  late August, therefore, there is no snow. Lot’s of people still think we record and publish the episodes on the same week, but as we’ve mentioned before, we would never be able to post 1 episode each week if we didn’t record in advance. Usually we record 16 episodes each time our team meets, which is 4 weekends per year.

In our web shop this week, we’ve just uploaded Tobias, the pattern for the fair isle hat that Arne is wearing on the photo below. Click here to get it. There are many other great patterns on our web shop, including the patterns for both Rowan sweaters in the layered colour work technique, that we are wearing in our Q&A. CALENDAR of EVENTS 2020

March 2 – 9, 2020 and March 8 – 16, 2020: Knitting under the Aurora Borealis onboard the Norwegian Coastal Express, Norway. 2 cruises. (sold out)

March 27 – April 7, 2020: Knitting Cruise in New Zealand (sold out).

April 2020: We have considered a few appearances in Australia after the cruise is over, but the planning of these events has been delayed due to the current situation with the bushfires in Australia. If we go ahead with a couple of events in Australia, we will announce them in the middle or end of February.

June 4 – 10, 2020:  English Stately Homes, Gardens and Knitting in the U.K. (sold out)

September 11 – 24, 2020: Knitting Along the Most Beautiful Coastline in the World, Onboard the Norwegian Coastal Express, Norway. The classic roundtrip. (Only a few spots left. Click here for more)

October 9-12, 2020: Knitting retreat in Tono, Japan. Priority will be given to local knitters from the Tohoku area and to members of the ARNE & CARLOS Fan Club JAPAN.

We may add on or two more events in Europe this year, but at the time of writing this post, we do not have any plans to tour USA or Canada in 2020. We will, more than likely, not return to North America until earliest in the fall of 2021.

Wishing you a great week ahead and don’t forget about our LiveStream on Saturday January 25th!
