How to crochet a pot holder. Part 2.

See the tutorial here:

POT HOLDER PATTERN, THE MAIN DESIGN. (The pattern for the base is available in the previous post)

Materials:

Yarn: SCHACHENMAYR CATANIA 100% cotton (Sport weight, Gauge: 6.5 sts = 1″ on US 2-4, Weight/Yardage: 50g/137yds)

Buy the yarn here.

We used colour 00173 for the base and colours 00146 and 00201 for the design on top.

Crochet hook: 3mm. US size D/3.

This week we continue with the pattern and work on the design on top. See the previous post, to get the base of the pattern.

Fill the base with 6dtr around each of the ch and the tr in the direction as shown in the chart.

Start every colour with 1dc around the ch or the dtr, ch2 and 5dtr.

End every colour with 1sl in top of first dtr = 2nd ch.

Finish the pot holder by crocheting 1sl in between 12dtr in the corner and the 6dtr that goes in towards the center of the pot holder and then 6dtr around every free ch og dtr in the base, end each side with 1sl between the 6 dtr on the side of the corner’s square and the 12dtr at the corner.

Cut the yarn and weave in loose ends.

Enjoy!
